Teambridg Q3 2022 Update: Burnout Risk Index and Team Health Dashboard

TLDR: Q3 2022 delivers four features centered on employee wellbeing: the Burnout Risk Index detecting unsustainable patterns, a Team Health Dashboard synthesizing multiple signals, automated manager coaching suggestions, and a custom reporting API for enterprise analytics.

Burnout Risk Index: Live

The feature we previewed in our burnout detection article is now live for all customers. The Burnout Risk Index continuously monitors five work pattern indicators — after-hours creep, weekend work, focus time degradation, break elimination, and collaboration withdrawal — to generate a real-time risk assessment.

Key design decisions: employees see their own Burnout Risk score in real-time. Manager notifications for Yellow scores arrive 48 hours after the employee is notified, giving individuals time to self-correct. Red scores trigger immediate manager notification with a recommended action playbook.

Early results from beta customers: organizations using the Burnout Risk Index during our testing phase reduced employee-reported burnout by 34% over a 3-month period. The combination of self-awareness (employees seeing their own patterns) and timely manager intervention (before burnout becomes a crisis) is proving powerful.

Team Health Dashboard

The Team Health Dashboard synthesizes multiple data streams into a single, intuitive view of how your team is doing. It combines:

  • Focus Time Score: Percentage of work time in focused blocks, benchmarked against healthy ranges.
  • Meeting Load: Percentage of time in meetings, with trend indicators and threshold warnings.
  • Collaboration Balance: Individual vs. collaborative work ratios, flagging extremes in either direction.
  • Work Sustainability: Composite of overtime patterns, break frequency, and work-hour consistency.
  • Burnout Risk Summary: Aggregated team-level burnout risk, identifying how many team members are in each risk tier.

Each metric is displayed with traffic-light indicators and trend arrows, making it immediately clear what's healthy, what's concerning, and what direction things are moving. The dashboard is designed to answer the question "How is my team really doing?" in under 30 seconds.

Manager Coaching Insights

Alongside the dashboards, we're shipping automated coaching insights — contextual suggestions that help managers act on the data they're seeing:

  • "Two team members show elevated burnout risk. Here's a conversation guide for a supportive check-in."

These insights are generated algorithmically from pattern analysis, not human review. They're designed to make managers more effective by translating data into actionable suggestions — closing the gap between seeing a problem and knowing what to do about it.

Privacy note: Coaching insights reference team-level patterns and anonymized individual signals. They never expose specific employee data to managers who don't have access through normal permission controls.

Custom Reporting API and Q4 Preview

Custom Reporting API: Enterprise customers can now access Teambridg data through a REST API for integration with existing BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.). The API provides aggregated metrics at team and organization levels, with the same privacy controls that apply to our dashboards. Individual-level data access requires the same authentication and authorization as the web interface.

Q4 Preview: We're ending 2022 with a focus on scale and intelligence:
