Building for the New Normal
When we planned our 2020 roadmap in January, we did not anticipate a global pandemic. Nobody did. But the COVID-19 shift to remote work has clarified our mission like nothing else could: teams need better visibility into how work happens, delivered in a way that builds trust rather than eroding it.
Our Q2 release reflects what we've learned from thousands of teams navigating the remote transition. Every feature addresses a real pain point we've heard repeatedly from customers.
Async Weekly Reports
One of the most common patterns we've observed: managers scheduling weekly "status update" meetings that could easily be an email. With Zoom fatigue already a crisis, we wanted to eliminate as many unnecessary meetings as possible.
Async Weekly Reports are automatically generated summaries of your team's work patterns, delivered every Monday morning via email. Each report includes:
- Team focus time trends (improving, declining, or stable)
- Meeting load analysis
- Work-life balance indicators (after-hours activity, weekend work)
- Top projects by time investment
- Notable changes from the previous week
The report is designed to be scannable in under 2 minutes. If something needs attention, it's highlighted. If everything looks healthy, you know at a glance and can move on. No meeting required.
Manager Coaching Suggestions
Data is only useful if you know what to do with it. Our new Manager Coaching feature translates Teambridg data into specific, actionable suggestions. For example:
- "Your team's meeting load increased 20% this week. Consider reviewing recurring meetings and cancelling any that don't have a clear agenda."
- "Two team members showed burnout risk indicators. Schedule private check-ins to understand their workload and explore redistribution options."
- "Focus time on your team was highest between 9-11 AM. Consider protecting this window from meetings."
These suggestions appear in the manager dashboard and in weekly reports. They're generated by analyzing patterns in your team's data and matching them to best practices from remote work research and our own customer success experience.
Manager coaching suggestions are just that — suggestions. They're never mandates, and they're always based on team-level patterns, not individual surveillance. Think of them as having a remote work expert look at your team's data and offer friendly advice.
Looking Ahead to Q3
For Q3, we're focused on three areas: deeper analytics for teams that are settling into long-term remote work, enhanced privacy controls to stay ahead of evolving regulations, and a mobile app for on-the-go access to team insights. We'll share more details as we get closer to launch.
Thank you to every team using Teambridg during this extraordinary time. Your feedback is making the product better every week, and we're honored to play a small role in helping you navigate the biggest shift in work history.
Teambridg is free for teams up to 3 users. No credit card required.
